While the concept of playing multiple characters is interesting, the pacing for the three chapters wildly varies. Despite Monica’s top tier billing, Rooney is clearly the star of this show. Finally, you’ll play as Rooney Simpson for six scenes, a brunette from one of the trailers. ![]() Then, you’ll transition to Professor Leonard, an older gentleman, as he investigates for his two scenes. You start the game as Monica, the blond from the promotional videos, for two scenes. Like the second game, NightCryfeatures multiple playable characters, split into three parts with several “scenes” or stages each. Or they’ll topple over because…they tripped? When they’re on the ground they’re as good as dead. In Escape Mode, you can estimate how close Scissor Walker is to catching up to you be looking back while you make your escape. Search for points from which you can either hide or attack the Scissorwalker while you run away. When the terrifying murder machine that is the Scissorwalker appears, you’ll enter Escape Mode. Investigate mysterious incidents and people aboard the ship and solve various mysteries while under the constant threat of the Scissorwalker appearing. You proceed through the game while alternating between Normal Exploration Mode and Escape Mode. With no way to get off of this increasingly claustrophobic ship in the middle of the ocean, the body count continues to rise. Then, the immortal, bloodthirsty killer known as “Scissorwalker” appears. However, a series of gruesome murders aboard the ship are discovered one after another, causing the passengers to grow paranoid and start distrusting one another. The main characters find themselves aboard a luxurious cruise liner, on what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing trip.
